National Park Service invites public input on Ross Lake National Recreation Area visitor use planning

June 13, 2025by Ranger Tom0

The North Cascades National Park Service Complex has announced a 60-day public comment period starting June 12. This is part of an initiative to gather public input for a new frontcountry planning process for Ross Lake National Recreation Area and adjacent areas along State Route 20.

The public is invited to submit their thoughts and suggestions either online or by mail. The input will be used to inform the planning process and help shape the future of the Ross Lake National Recreation Area. The aim is to ensure that the park continues to meet the needs and expectations of its visitors, while preserving its unique natural and cultural resources.

The deadline for submitting comments is August 11, 2025. The Park Service is encouraging all interested parties to participate in this opportunity to influence the management and future direction of the Ross Lake National Recreation Area. This initiative is part of the National Park Service’s commitment to public involvement in the decision-making process.
