Recovery Efforts Completed Yesterday for Man Missing In Rocky Mountain National Park

The body of a man believed to be 23-year-old Blake Kieckhafer of Omaha, Nebraska, was recovered above Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park on Wednesday, August 13. The recovery effort was completed by National Park Service (NPS) officials following Kieckhafer’s disappearance in the park.

The recovery operation involved multiple agencies and was conducted in challenging terrain, demonstrating the dedication and commitment of the NPS and partner organizations. The identification of the body is pending, but it is believed to be that of the missing man.
