The Colonial National Historical Park has announced a living history event titled “Before The Siege.” The event is set to take place along Yorktown’s Main Street and Redoubts 9 and 10 on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7, 2025. The announcement was made on the National Park Service’s website.
The event aims to bring history to life by offering attendees an immersive experience of the events preceding the Siege of Yorktown. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with historical reenactors, learn about the strategies and tactics used in the siege, and understand the daily life of soldiers and civilians during that period.
This event is part of the Colonial National Historical Park’s ongoing efforts to educate the public about the nation’s colonial history. The park is known for hosting a variety of events and programs that highlight important historical events and figures. “Before The Siege” is expected to be a significant addition to these educational initiatives.
