The National Park Service has announced a partial reopening of fishing on select rivers and streams in Yellowstone National Park. The decision comes as a result of recent cooler temperatures and rainfall, which have alleviated the high water temperatures and low flows that previously led to the closure.
However, restrictions remain in place to protect the park’s aquatic life. Fishing will still be closed from 2 p.m. to sunrise the following day due to persisting warm water temperatures and low river flows. The restrictions aim to prevent additional stress on fish populations during the warmest part of the day.
The National Park Service continues to monitor conditions closely and will adjust restrictions as necessary based on weather patterns and water conditions. Visitors are encouraged to check the Yellowstone National Park website for the most up-to-date information on fishing conditions and restrictions.
