Jewel Cave National Monument will temporarily halt cave tours from Monday, September 8 to Friday, September 12, 2025, to facilitate the installation of a planned back-up generator. The interruption in the tour schedule is necessary to ensure the successful completion of this important project.
Despite the pause in cave tours, the visitor center will remain open for the majority of the installation period. Visitors can access the center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on Thursday, September 11.
