The Perry Fire, located within the North Cascades National Park (NOCA), continues to exhibit minimal fire behavior. Weather conditions in the area are expected to change over the coming week, with a cold front bringing rain and cooler temperatures today. This shift in weather is anticipated to further decrease the fire’s behavior.
However, the respite may be short-lived as a warm and drying trend is forecasted to return on Monday and Tuesday. Despite this brief period of warmer weather, the area is expected to revert back to cool and wet conditions mid-week, which should help to further suppress the fire.
The National Park Service has stated that this will be the final update on the Perry Fire unless there are significant changes in fire conditions. For more information, visit the official NOCA website.
