Donzell Lernard Campbell, a 44-year-old felon from Laurel, Maryland, has been sentenced to 110 months in federal prison. The sentence was handed down by U.S District Judge Lydia K. Griggsby. Following his prison term, Campbell will be subject to three years of supervised release.
Campbell was found guilty of several charges related to drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. He pleaded guilty on February 27, 2024, to federal possession of a machine gun, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and felon in possession of ammunition charges.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts by the National Park Service and law enforcement agencies to crack down on illegal activities within the U.S. National Parks.
