Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area (NRRA) is set to honor participants of the GO BIG 2025 Challenge at a special event. The GO BIG Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 10 AM (ET) at the Bandy Creek Visitor Center. The event will mark the culmination of the year-long challenge aimed at encouraging visitors to explore the park’s diverse natural and cultural resources.
The GO BIG 2025 Challenge was designed to motivate visitors to go beyond their usual trails and discover new areas within the park. Participants were encouraged to visit specific sites throughout the park, with the challenge covering a wide range of activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and visiting historic sites. The initiative aimed to deepen participants’ connection to the park and inspire a sense of stewardship towards its preservation.
At the upcoming celebration event, participants will be recognized for their efforts and achievements. It promises to be a day of festivity, honoring the spirit of exploration and discovery that the GO BIG 2025 Challenge embodies. The event serves as a testament to the park’s commitment to fostering a deeper appreciation of its unique natural and cultural heritage among visitors.
