The National Park Service has announced that construction of new ramps at the Route 123 and George Washington Memorial Parkway interchange will commence on August 11. As part of the North Parkway Rehabilitation Project, the ramp from the southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP) to westbound Route 123, and from westbound Route 123 to southbound GWMP, will be closed. This closure will remain in effect through mid-September, depending on weather conditions.
The construction project is part of a larger initiative to improve the infrastructure of the national park system. The new ramps are expected to enhance the flow of traffic and improve safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly during the construction period. The National Park Service appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this time of improvement.
