Join A Virtual Information Session December 8 on Wetland Restoration in Rocky Mountain National Park

November 27, 2025by Ranger Tom0

Rocky Mountain National Park staff are initiating a new planning strategy to combat the degradation of wetlands and the increasing impact of moose populations on these delicate ecosystems. This initiative comes in response to the growing concerns over the declining health of these vital habitats. Wetlands play a crucial role in the environment by providing habitat for wildlife, improving water quality, and reducing flood damage.

To provide the public with more information on this new initiative, the park staff will be hosting a virtual information session on December 8. This online event will offer an opportunity for the public to learn more about the challenges facing the park’s wetlands, the role of moose in these ecosystems, and the proposed strategies for wetland restoration.

The Rocky Mountain National Park encourages public participation and feedback in this planning process. The virtual information session is part of the park’s commitment to engage with the community and stakeholders, ensuring their voices are heard in the conservation and management of these critical natural resources. The session will provide a platform for the public to ask questions, express their views, and contribute to the development of the restoration plan.
