The National Park Service (NPS) has announced that work will commence in late February to replace the Little Yellow Creek Bridge on Bartlett Park Road, located within the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The project will involve construction activities, which visitors to the park will likely observe and hear during their visit.
Despite the construction, Bartlett Park will remain open and accessible to the public. However, the road and areas located south of the bridge will not be accessible for the duration of the construction period. This includes the Marsee Cemetery, a notable landmark within the park.
The NPS has not provided a timeline for the completion of the construction work. Visitors are advised to check the park’s official website for updates and further information about the construction project and any potential disruptions to park services and accessibility.
