Dome Fire Update, September 27, 2026 (morning)

The Dome Fire grew by 311 acres since Saturday morning and was 30% contained as of September 27, 2026, according to Yosemite National Park officials.

The fire continues to advance slowly to the north and northeast, moving into the footprint of the 2017 Empire Fire. Rocky terrain and other natural barriers in that area are helping to limit its spread.

Fire crews continue to monitor the blaze and work toward greater containment as conditions allow.
