National Park Service cancels concession contract opportunity in Shenandoah National Park

The National Park Service (NPS) has announced the cancellation of a 15-year concessions contract opportunity at Shenandoah National Park. The contract, which was initially opened for solicitation on July 30, 2024, and closed on November 7, 2024, aimed to provide a range of services within the park. These services included overnight guest lodging, food and beverage sales, retail and grocery operations, campground operations and camper services, fuel sales, and stable operations.

The decision to withdraw the contract opportunity comes with the promise of a revised solicitation for these services. The NPS is committed to ensuring the continuity of visitor services and does not anticipate any disruption due to this cancellation.
