Great Smoky Mountains National Park announces selection of park concessioner to operate LeConte Lodge

The Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park has announced that the Chilkoot National Historic Trail will reopen for the season on June 1, 2025. This comes after a period of continued partial closures due to damage from historic flooding.

The entire section of the trail within the park will once again be accessible to hikers. The Chilkoot Trail is an integral part of the park and its reopening marks an important milestone in the park’s recovery from the flooding damage.
