The National Park Service (NPS) has announced the completion of a landslide repair project at milepost 422, near Devil’s Courthouse on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The project, which is the southernmost recovery effort following Hurricane Helene, was completed on August 29.
The recovery project was necessitated by the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Helene, which led to landslides in the area. The project aimed to restore access to this popular section of the parkway and ensure the safety of visitors.
The NPS has not provided details about the specific repairs carried out, but the completion of the project marks a significant milestone in the ongoing recovery efforts. The successful completion of the project will allow visitors to once again enjoy the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Devil’s Courthouse.
