Titus Canyon Road closing for repairs October 2

Titus Canyon Road, one of Death Valley National Park’s most popular backcountry routes, will close on Oct. 2, 2026, for repairs and improvements following extensive flood damage.

The closure will allow crews to restore and strengthen the road, which offers motorists a rugged drive through the canyon’s dramatic desert landscape. Visitors should plan alternate routes and check current park conditions before traveling.
