Great Sand Dunes Offering Summer Paid Internship Opportunities

January 27, 2026by Ranger Tom0

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve has announced opportunities for paid summer internships for the 2026 summer season. The park will be hosting the Scientists in Parks paid summer internship program and a Southwest Conservation Corps paid internship position.

The Scientists in Parks program provides a unique opportunity for budding scientists to gain hands-on experience in a national park setting. Interns will have the chance to work alongside experienced park scientists and contribute to ongoing research and conservation efforts.

The Southwest Conservation Corps internship will offer practical experience in conservation work. This will include opportunities to participate in projects aimed at preserving the park’s unique environment and promoting sustainable practices.

These internships not only offer valuable work experience, but also the chance to spend a summer immersed in the stunning landscapes of the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. For more information about these opportunities, interested parties can visit the park’s official website.
