Motorcycle Fatality near Milepost 126 on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Great Smoky Mountains National Park announces selection of park concessioner to operate LeConte Lodge 

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on the Blue Ridge Parkway near milepost 126, as reported by the National Park Service (NPS). The incident took place on Friday, June 20, 2025, around 8:30 p.m. NPS dispatchers received information about the motor vehicle accident, prompting immediate response.

The details pertaining to the identity of the individual or individuals involved, the circumstances leading up to the accident, and the exact cause of the accident have not been released. It remains unclear whether any other vehicles were involved in the incident.
