National Park Service Expands Visitor Access at Denali National Park and Preserve

The National Park Service has finalized a rule expanding vehicle access on the restricted section of Denali Park Road in Denali National Park and Preserve.

Under the rule, up to 160 vehicles per day may travel on the restricted portion of the road during the park’s visitor season. The change aligns the daily vehicle limit with the park’s 2012 Vehicle Management Plan.

The updated limit is intended to improve visitor access while maintaining the transportation framework established to manage traffic and protect park resources along the road.
