Yellowstone National Park reports September 2026 visitation statistics

Yellowstone National Park recorded 868,450 recreation visits in September 2026, according to visitation statistics released by the National Park Service.

That total represents a 3% increase from September 2025, when the park reported 839,579 recreation visits. The figures reflect continued strong interest in Yellowstone during the early fall travel season.

The monthly statistics track recreation visits rather than unique individuals, meaning one person may be counted more than once if they enter the park on multiple occasions.
