The New River Gorge National Park and Preserve has announced a special event aimed at celebrating the rich musical traditions of Appalachia. The event, which is open to the public, will take place on Sunday, September 28, at the Cliffside Amphitheater at Grandview.
The day-long event will feature free performances of Appalachian music, a genre deeply rooted in the region’s cultural heritage. Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique sounds of this traditional music, which has been passed down through generations.
In addition to the music performances, park rangers will be on hand to offer talks and share insights about the park’s history, flora, and fauna. This event offers an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the natural and cultural history of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, while enjoying the beauty of the park’s surroundings.
