Public Notice Statement by Saguaro National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park announces selection of park concessioner to operate LeConte Lodge

Saguaro National Park has announced its intention to seek assistance from the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training Program (IRT). This collaboration aims to rehabilitate a garage located on a historic property within the park.

The IRT program provides real-world training opportunities for the Department of Defense’s service members and units to increase their readiness. It simultaneously supports community-based projects that deliver public and civil-society benefits. The proposed project at Saguaro National Park aligns with these objectives.

This initiative represents a valuable opportunity to preserve and maintain the historic structures within the national park while providing practical training for military personnel. Further details about the project, including the timeline and scope of work, will be released in the near future.
