Great Smoky Mountains National Park announces selection of park concessioner to operate LeConte Lodge

Crater Lake National Park, in collaboration with the Friends of Crater Lake and Discover Klamath, is set to host the 11th annual “Ride the Rim” days. The event, which promotes non-motorized recreation, will be held on two consecutive Saturdays, September 6 and 13, 2025. During these days, East Rim Drive will be exclusively open to activities such as biking, hiking, and running.

The “Ride the Rim” days will start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. on both dates. This initiative is a part of the park’s ongoing efforts to promote health, fitness, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of Crater Lake National Park. The event also aims to encourage sustainable tourism and outdoor recreation in the area.

For more information about the “Ride the Rim” days, interested participants can visit the official website of Crater Lake National Park at https://www.nps.gov/crla/learn/news/ride-the-rim-2025.htm. The park encourages visitors to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience the scenic beauty of the East Rim Drive without the usual motorized traffic.
