Dome Fire Update, September 17, 2026 (morning)

The Dome Fire remained active overnight into September 17, with most of the activity concentrated along its western and northern flanks, according to a morning update from Yosemite National Park.

Fire crews continued monitoring the blaze and focusing their response on the areas showing the greatest activity. Conditions along the west and north sides remained a key concern as firefighters assessed changes in the fire’s behavior.
