National Park Service Proposes Expanded Off-Road Vehicle Access in Big Cypress National Preserve
The National Park Service is proposing changes to special regulations governing Big Cypress National Preserve in Florida, potentially expanding off-road vehicle access within the preserve’s Addition Lands.
The revisions would allow the agency to implement provisions of the 2010 Addition Lands General Management Plan, which established a framework for public access and resource management in the area. The proposal represents a regulatory step toward carrying out that plan.
Before making a final decision, the National Park Service will review public comments on the proposed updates. The agency said feedback submitted during the public process will be considered carefully.
