Buffalo National River Encourages Visitors to Explore Safely This Fall

Buffalo National River is encouraging visitors to enjoy its hiking trails as cooler fall temperatures make outdoor exploration more comfortable. The park offers a variety of routes through the landscape surrounding the river, providing opportunities to experience seasonal scenery and natural features.

Park officials are also reminding hikers to put safety first. Visitors should plan their route in advance, check weather and trail conditions, carry sufficient water and supplies, wear appropriate footwear, and allow enough time to complete their hike before dark.

Hikers should remain aware of changing conditions, stay on designated trails, and make sure someone knows their plans. Thoughtful preparation can help visitors safely enjoy the park’s rugged terrain and remote areas during the fall season.
