Campfire Ban Lifted

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area will lift its campfire ban on October 2, allowing visitors to resume campfires where they are normally permitted.

The change eases restrictions imposed during heightened wildfire danger. Visitors should continue to follow posted rules, check current conditions and use designated fire areas where required.

Campfires should never be left unattended and must be fully extinguished before visitors leave the site. Local or seasonal restrictions may still apply in surrounding areas.
