Salt Creek Boardwalk Reopens

Great Smoky Mountains National Park announces selection of park concessioner to operate LeConte Lodge

Death Valley National Park has announced the reopening of Salt Creek Boardwalk, three and a half years after it was devastated by flooding. The boardwalk is a popular destination within the park, offering visitors a unique opportunity to view the Salt Creek Pupfish, a rare species of fish that can survive in the harsh, salty conditions of Salt Creek.

The boardwalk, which is wheelchair-accessible, provides easy access to this unique natural spectacle. The restoration of the boardwalk is a significant achievement for the park, ensuring that all visitors can continue to enjoy this unique feature of Death Valley.

The reopening of the Salt Creek Boardwalk is a testament to the park’s commitment to accessibility and conservation. It ensures that visitors of all abilities can continue to explore and appreciate the unique ecosystems within Death Valley National Park. The park invites visitors to come and experience the newly reopened boardwalk and the rare Salt Creek Pupfish.
