Cape Hatteras National Seashore Reopens Frisco and Cape Point Campgrounds
Cape Hatteras National Seashore will reopen the Frisco and Cape Point campgrounds at 4 p.m. on Oct. 29, restoring access for visitors following disruptions on Hatteras Island.
The reopening coincides with Dare County lifting its visitor evacuation order for the island. N.C. Highway 12 near the Pea Island Visitor Center is also reopening, allowing travelers to return to the area.
Visitors should continue to monitor local travel conditions and National Park Service updates as access and services resume.
