Modified Fall Operations Begin at Grand Canyon’s North Rim Oct. 15
Grand Canyon National Park will begin modified fall operations at the North Rim on Oct. 15, 2026, bringing temporary access changes as the park transitions into the late-season period.
Cape Royal Road and Point Imperial Road will close at sunset on Oct. 15 and are scheduled to reopen at sunrise on Nov. 3. The closures will allow crews to carry out critical road repairs and rehabilitation work.
The project is being completed in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration. Park officials said the temporary restrictions are necessary to maintain a safe work environment for crews and visitors.
