Multiple Projects Completed on Blue Ridge Parkway in Time for Fall Travel
The National Park Service has completed multiple repair projects along the Blue Ridge Parkway, restoring safer public access ahead of the busy fall travel season. The work is part of the continuing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which caused widespread damage and closures along the scenic route.
Federal officials said the projects reflect President Donald J. Trump’s direction to accelerate rebuilding and recovery while keeping national parks open and accessible. Crews have focused on critical repairs needed to reopen affected areas and support safe travel.
The completed work marks continued progress in restoring one of the nation’s most visited park sites as travelers arrive for fall foliage and outdoor recreation. Additional repairs and recovery efforts are continuing along damaged sections of the parkway.
