Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park and Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site are set to celebrate the 117th anniversary of President Johnson’s birth. The National Park Service will host the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the former president’s gravesite on the LBJ Ranch at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 27. This ceremony is a long-standing tradition that was initiated by Lady Bird Johnson in 1973.

Colonel Erik L. Dutkiewicz will be present at the event to help with the wreath presentation and will also provide remarks. The keynote speaker for the event will be Catherine Robb, the granddaughter of President and Mrs. Johnson. The ceremony offers a moment to honor the life and legacy of the 36th President of the United States.

The public is invited to join in the celebration and commemoration of President Johnson’s birth. Further details about the event can be found on the National Park Service’s website.
